The homeowners had recently purchased an electric vehicle and were looking to reduce their running costs by generating their own electricity. Their south-facing roof was well-suited to solar, and they wanted the EV charger integrated so it could draw on solar surplus during the day.
We carried out a full site survey, assessed the roof structure and orientation, and recommended a 4kWp system with a Zappi charger — allowing the car to charge directly from excess generation rather than drawing from the grid.
